The International Preservation Trades Workshop will be held in Mobile, Alabama in October of 2004. This unusual conference consists primarily of hands-on demonstrations by some of the nation’s leading preservation crafts people. Concurrently, the Alabama Preservation Conference will be ongoing with participants eligible to attend all of the functions and many of the sessions. All persons interested in this extraordinary event are encouraged to attend.
The Mobile Historic Development Commission and the Historic Mobile Preservation Society will jointly host this important conference welcoming attendees to both conferences. Scholarships for students, teachers and apprentices involved in the building arts are available through a grant from the Sybil H. Smith Charitable Trust.
